Hoese Claims Spot on American Weekly Honor Roll

NEW ORLEANS, La. – For the second time this year, Tulane junior infielder Kody Hoese was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll the league announced Monday.

Hoese, a native of Griffin, Indiana, was named to the list after the first week of the season and this week’s is the third for a Green Wave player as Josh Bates was named to the list last week.

Hoese helped the Green Wave to a 3-1 week as he led the team with a .438 batting average at the plate, earning seven hits, four RBI and four runs scored. He slugged .813 with a .500 on-base percentage, drawing a pair of walks.

He had a hit in all four games, including hitting the go-ahead two-run home run against Dartmouth on Friday in the Army Invitational, hitting another home run the next day against Saint Joseph’s. Sunday against the Black Knights he was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and a walk.

It was Hoese’s sixth multi-hit game of the season, which is second on the team, while his four multi-RBI games is tied for first.
